I stare long and hard at my young labor application each night. Non-affiliation is so precious

I don't think it helps labor when they have members who get very grey when asked whether they support Australian troops and or terrorism.

Im talking pragmatically. Election poison if a Labor pollie was to suggest that the killing of Australian troops was justified. Or that terrorism was 'understandable'.

I'm still waiting for a reply for s nizzle as to whether he would think of fighting for the resistance in Iraq if he had a chance.

that's a problem with the whole political discourse if questions like that are thrown forward legitimately

The point is that you cannot ever expect to win an election if people inside your party want to side with minority views that people of the mainstream find threatening. Not minority interests like gay rights. People can live with that. They may NOT like it but the can live with it.

People DO NOT WANT TO HEAR that people who live in their nation find the idea of terrorism under an ideology employed against them as justified or understandable. Election poison. if labor were to take such a position the ALP would never be elected again.

Zahid I'd suggest you'd be more at home in the Socialist Alliance or the CPA.

I feel i am not informed enough to answer that question yet.

But if i was iraqi and felt that Australian forces pose a threat to the stability of my region then YES.

But you do feel informed enough to support the resistance. How come you are not informed enough to fight for them?
