I usually befriend girls and then ask for their number or msn. I rarely pounce on someone new or random, because I prefer to befriend them before seeking out the possibility of a relationship, or whatever. This way I know there's already an establishment of compatibility and companionship. Using this mentality, asking for contact details should be easy. Infact, even if you didn't use this mentality asking for a number shouldn't be too difficult.. provided you don't have the confidence of a brick.
