My mouth fell open when i read that. Literally.

I can understand. he just wanted to really drill the concepts and ideas into our heads. Now everyone knows all searches+sorts really well.

The test was hilarious though, just an old HSC question with an extra bit he added asking for a search. He was so lazy, he just copied and pasted the old question and his part was in different font and indented to the right. Well i laughed anyway...

I'm not sure what purpose of me posting my ranks really serves, but I guess if anything it could be some personal motivation to get of my arse and study for the looming half yearlies

Had a few assessments so far, one for every subject (cept EEI), mostly done last term, but won't really get a good idea of rankings until after the half yearlies (which are in two weeks :O :O..crap crap crap crap- why I am not studying yet??!!!)

anyway so far

Maths 2u: Mark: 93%...such an easy exam, if not for stupid mistakes could of got 100% ...which someone did actually get. O well, doesn't count because of Ext 2, but we were made to do it, coz a lot of people drop afer term 1...luckily we don't have to do the half yearly.
Rank: about 5-10/94

Maths Ext I: Mark: 81% Rank: pretty 5-10/69

Maths Ext II: Mark: 83% Rank: 5/40 or so people

Legal Studies: Mark: 20/20 Rank: Equal 1st with 3 others/25 (essay- widely varying marks, people seemed to get either really low or really high)

Modern History: Mark: 24.5/25 Rank: equal 1st with one other/30

English: pending... they mark incredibly slooooowly... not very confident about my essay...hope I adapted my memorised essay enough to fit the question lol, i reckon at least a solid B/hopefully scraping into the A range, hard to say though

English Ext:
haven't had an assessment yet, which means the half yearly is worth alot...shit....and its a speech too...nooooooooooooo. Why, oh why, can't I be a more confident public speaker?? .....*wallows in self-pity*


all in all I'm happy, but my ranks in maths seem to have slipped a bit (best subject in prelim) --> hopefully use this as motivation to pick up gain for the half yearly
and hopefully maintain legal and history ranks

side note: wow...show are alot of smart people on this forum...some pretty crazy marks (eg Rhino07, bored6)- like people coming 1st/2nd in all their subject, I suppose it depends a lot the standard of your school- ranking/selective or not but still.... :O
