ATAR estimates are hard to give, you need to know how they work, see...

If you want an estimate - post up your ranks for each subject and school rank.

+1

Its pointless trying to give you estimate without class and school rankings. Percentages are relative and not universal.

Thanks for the replies, hopefully I get ranked highly.

Just one question about the ATAR calculation; I know that they take your top 10 units (including 2 of english).

It said on one of the websites that you need 4 subjects to be eligible for an ATAR;
So do you need a total of 4 subjects to make up the 10 units?, or can the ATAR come from any unit scores?

I'm hoping for my ATAR to come from:

Music (2 units)
Music (2 units)
Business (2 units)
Business (2 units)
English (2 units)

-Greatly appreciated for a reply

Why do you double paste the same subject??
Because when I write;

Music (2 units), that refers to year 11

Music (2 units), that refers to year 12. etc

So does anyone have an answer for my question:

'It said on one of the websites that you need 4 subjects to be eligible for an ATAR;
So do you need a total of 4 subjects to make up the 10 units?, or can the ATAR come from any unit scores?'

-thank you

Your year 11 marks are irrelevant - they don't count for anything.

Re: your question - I don't know for sure but in my case my ATAR was drawn only from Maths, English and Modern History so unless extension units qualify as separate "subject areas" then I don't think your ten units have to be made up of four subject areas.

So the ATAR only comes from year 12 units?

Didn't your teachers tell you "preliminary is over, HSC begins now"?

I'd be amazed if someone managed to miss that particular diatribe. My head of senior college pretty much tattooed it to the inside of our eyelids in bolded capslock.

Am also wondering why OP decided to put this in the university forums when there is a whole entire section devoted to ATAR predictions ...

this would be wrong, you cant only do maths english and modern history for the HSC, you would need to have a 4th subject

I didn't say I only did Maths, English and Modern in year 12. Look at my sig, I did 14 units. I said that my ATAR - when it was calculated - was made up of 4 units of Maths, 4 units of English and 2 units of Modern History.

its obvious you are a shit idiot so i think you will receive an atar about 70 (this is based upon your thoroughly shit marks and the fact that your name is Alexander, seriously).

i suggest as a career you become a circus exhibit.

as for the hsc:
