Heyy. Received my report recently and I need to see where I stand at the moment.
at this stage, i dont think Economics will count [as best 10 units].
I'm aiming for an atar of 90-95... so what atar am I looking at with these results??

School rank : 127

English Advanced - 26/71

4U Maths - 3/33

3U Maths - 2/67

Economics - 23/48

Chemistry - 14/38

Physics - 12/67

any estimates will be really helpful! thanks!!

thanks for the insight mate.. its just the school rank that i'm a little concerned about. the 127 MIGHT have slipped down to 130ish. does the school rank really make a big difference?

It doesn't make lots of difference. It's just for the people on this forum to know how good your cohort probably are, to give your ranks a frame of reference.

Your school rank could go up again this year, based upon how well your individual year go in the HSC. So it doesn't matter that they slipped down three places.

But your marks are pretty good, and ranking high in 4u maths will work in your favour.

I think you can get to your aim atar of 90-95. If you push up some of your ranks just a little more (Economics, Chem, Physics.), you can probably ensure 95.

Thanks stleonard!
I definitely hope 4u maths will work in my favour, because it's really affecting my other subjects [esp Chem]. I guess if i'm in the top ten for everything i should get my aim =)

My school's rank floated around the 150-180 mark the past few years

my ranks were

eng adv - 80ish/120

maths 2u - 12th/90

maths 3u - 20th/40ish

phys - 8th/60ish

chem - 16th/30ish

eco - 11th/40ish

and i still got an atar of 91.75

just own every exam that you do from no onwards and you'll be fine

Thanks mate! that really helped because we have the same subs [with the exception of 4u maths for me]. I guess i'll JUST scrape in with 90 with my rankings...:(
and you're right; better own every exam from here on end! :jedi:
