Buy an s15 autech for 15-20k and mod it suspension and looks wise. When you get off your p's, transfer all the parts to a spec R.

tbh it does my head in how the turbo s15's are generally cheaper than the autech/ standard ones.. turbo ones can be picked up for 12-13k ( m8 got 1 recently)

Forces of demand and supply, hardly any autech around. Really is stupid though.

Currently, I have my eye on an Audi A4 2008 which is very nice and has all the options, however insurance will be close to 4-5 grand, and maintenance costs will be extremely expensive. Also its close to 85,000km so the belt will cost about 8 grand to fix...
Woah...Tried shopping around for insurance? I've never seen it go that high...

personally i prefer holden simply because they're reliable, easy to get parts for and run forever! also they're quite simply amazing...
