Do you know if that applies to UNSW like if they let their students defer the flight costs as well?
I'm not too sure. Since these loan schemes are associated with the government and if they would eventually pass it for flight schools, it would be at the discretion of UNSW if they wanted it to make it an option or not. But yes, since they are technically a "flight school", I see no reason why they couldn't introduce it when it is allowed to happen.

Guess We'll have to wait and see.

lol atc get good money..one of the highest in the US but anyway..

first..he needs to have year 12 education requirements of english, maths (not general) and a science subject (pref. physics)

and then he can either go to the air force or to air services australia..where he'll need to do aptitude tests..etc etc

go search on google for air services australia and the australian defence force

I'd love to join Qantas' Cadetship program - only problem is that I'm a NSW resident, and the Universities that are associated with the program are in VIC and QLD.

QF have released a video on careers being a pilot with Qantas - here.

Imagine being a pilot... being able to sail the skies of the world, above and away from the daily grind...

Well if you live in NSW you'd just have to move down to melbourne for the year. Not that much of a problem really, just need to find a flat to live in or something

But it's a Uni course - wouldn't it be three or so years?

lol I'll have to keep my options open - probably will end up having a stupid career - like being a teacher

Well you have the Bachelor's degree - which is the three year one

But then you have the Associate Degree which is only like a year-and-a-half.

I think to describe it as a uni course might be going too far. I spoke to a guy who's in the program at the moment and he said they only go to the uni for half a day a week, so yerrrrr

Well I dunno... if everything fails and my UAI is simply not acceptable, I'll either sit the HSC again or become a flight attendant :uhoh:

an acceptable uai for that course would be 85 wouldnt it ?

anyway..i heard that a current pilot there did an exchange thing
to somewhere for a year in year 11 and came back in year 12 for hsc..
his hsc was low..(didnt meet the standards) so he just called qantas up
and said that e regarded that exchange much higher and it may have
cost him so qantas waivered the educational requirement for him..
i mean..he still did the english, maths and physics but just goes to show
how weird the qantas psych test is..

oh yeah..the psych i heard is based on some of their top pilots and they see
if you fit into that..

by the way andy..is the maths your doing advanced or general ?

and ive got a new figure for the chief pilot salary..

it is...

$1 000 000

BUT... another thinks that it would be much more than that..
:uhoh:

because chief pilots are contracted to the airline..it probably is
over a 1 000 000...not to mention free first class travel, probably
a company car etc etc

I do Mathematics, of which I assume is advanced. Thanks for your help, but the advent of the HSC has indeed arrived for me.
