There's been two boser's that did Vis. Comm. at Newcastle that I know of, me being one of them.

and i found the course terrible and completely not what i want to do - so i've basically dropped out and plan to do TAFE next semester.

I've done Vis Comm..in fact I'm still doing Vis Comm and in my final year. Spending the last few months developing a portfolio and tossing up whether or not to jump into Honours or work.

And I like the course. Not everything was rosy but that happens with all degrees right??

False. My degree was rosy at all times.

I think with something like Vis Comm you can't be all 'I love art, teehee'. You actually have to put a shitload of effort in coz there's like 50 million projects every two seconds (so I was told......freaking ages ago).

Um, that sounds like a fair achievement. I would have thought to get there, their work would need to be of a high standard?
