I don't know about people being sent over for the Olympics...

but YES there is amazing amounts of projects thrown at you, including a range of projects they like to call 'short tasks' but which are actually just as much work as an assignment.

At present for one course I have had to design, two drama posters, a tea bag, a newspaper advertisement for picking up dog poo (yay!), a gay rights poster, a book cover, a law logo, an exhibition logo, an exhibition poster, a cd cover, a business card, two double page magazine layouts and i just cant be bothered explaining the few others I left out...That does not even include assignments given.

Wasn't it guys from Vis Comm that went to China for the Olympics?

Um, that sounds like a fair achievement. I would have thought to get there, their work would need to be of a high standard?

Maybe I just read too much into it?

:/
If that's true, Vis Comm would have nothing to do with their sporting achievements :S

Sounds to me like it was only journalism students. They mentioned inviting 30 Bachelor of Communication students but not Visual Communication students.

Shame, it would have been a great boost for the degree.
