For some of the past essays I've done, the teacher has always commented that I should have more balance between texts ie. address each text in equally.

However, should the prescribed text be discussed more or to the same degree as the ORT's?

If the question asks to discuss two ORT's, should be they each be discussed at the same length as the prescribed text, or should I view those two texts as two parts to a whole, and discuss both ORT's to the same length as the prescribed text?

yer if they ask for one ort thats what id do

if they ask for two, id make it like 40% 30% 30%.. the prescribed text is ur focus but the ORT discussion has to be detailed otherwise you wont get very good marks...
