Yes, ATi's X1800 cards were pretty much ahead over the 256MB 7800GTX by a small margin. Then nVidia wooped out the cake by suddenly releasing a 512MB version of the GTX, except it also boasted a 30% overclock over the 256MB version.. which in turn made it slaughter the flagship X1800XT. The only real way for ATi to counter this is to increase the pipelines, but this requires significant R&D, probably not feasible and hence now we have nVidia the king of this round.Arvin Sloane said:What's with the sudden re-emergence of nvida?
