Heat ey? Didn't think you'd be a Michael Mann fan.

Just one huh? I'll have to go with Chungking Express, but it's a tough call, Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, Red, Groundhog Day, Rushmore, Fargo, Being John Malkovich and American Beauty are all up there as well.

Here's a shortlist (not really short, I know) of good (or popular) 90s films to help refresh your memories:

JFK
Heart of Darkness: A Filmmarker's Apocalypse
Strictly Ballroom
The Player

Not THAT good, just consistently enjoyable. I mean, it's not as if they strive for greatness, but I think they do everything they set out to do quite admirably.

Y'know I just realised something. With a few exceptions (Independence Day).. big budget action blockbusters were a lot less common in the 90s than they are now. What a difference a decade makes.

I'd have to say Pulp Fiction.

The likes of American Beauty, The Lion King, Goodfellas, Magnolia and Princess Mononoke are very close though.

Where are all the responses. Surely we're not all so forgetful that we can't remember what 90s movies we've seen..

the notebook was made last year, so therefore this thread is a dead-end for movie discussion.

and big is from the 80's.
