A vertical scrolling shoot em up, like Raptor and all those old arcade games.

Just thought of a few more - Abuse, Castles I and II, Another World, Altered Beast, Battle Chess, Flashback, etc..

i would have to say apart from strategy games these are my favourite type of gsmes

definitely alley-cat, lemmings, aquanoid, wolf3-D, prince of persia, game called apogee??, stunts, this F1 racing game by Accolade that's about 15 years old I think...hmm brings back memories...

yeh thats it those two are rated very well in my books. and yeh it was really hard to discover what u needed to do sometimes . i actually finished both withour guides , only many hours of trying to do everytihng and help from friend. however recently when i downloaded them again and wanted to play agin i found it very hard and had to use a guide
