Hi.
I'm intending to buy a car. The trouble about it is that I son't know where to look for and what the best place is.

Parramatta Rd? Trading Post? Car classifieds? Any help?

I prefer a Toyota that costs under $5000.

..Also, are there any advantages when buying from a dealer and any advantages when buying from private sellers?

Thanks for all tips given.

Check online as everyone has said... also though go to dealers because it gives you an idea of what you get for the money... just looking online you might see cars that are great deals but when you actually see them in person you can tell the pics taken were very generous on their condition. Parra rd has the most dealers, it would take a good day to get through them all... so start their I recon.

As for a Toyota for $5000.... a Camry with approx 150,000kms would be my choice, they have a strong reputation for reliability if well maintained, and will last for ages.... thats if you dont mind having a car that isnt exactly glamerous but will keep going and going.
