hey just a quick question, is it possible to use Blade Runner as a related text in 3 unit? I'm doing crime fiction; and if i had to pull out another related (just in case) is it allowed?? I mean they are different courses? But i have a feeling it isn't.

i wanted to use orlando (pomo) for AoS and got told off for it. the reverse is likely to also hold true.

I used 'Blade Runner' as a related text for a 'Utopia'/Dystopian film assignment we had in EE1 a few weeks ago.
Then again, that was for the preliminary year. My teacher said it was ok considering it was compulsory to do the textual form of film.

Also...I just realised this thread is a year old...that or you're doing the HSC early...accelerated...I don't know, I really don't get that program.

"i wanted to use orlando (pomo)"

hahahahaha, I read this as:

"i wanted to use orlando (porno)"

I was like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!

my friend was going to use bnw or br for speculative fiction (our ext english topic) our teacher said its not not allowed but she adviced against it... because its already in another course meaning itll prob be marked harder...

I spoke with my school's English Department and they say that:

"...Blade Runner is a good related text to use (and I think they're transferring it over to EE1 from Advanced). The markers CANNOT penalise you for using it as a related text, but they will look upon it will raised eyebrows..."
