So i'm ranked first in business, and my internal mark should be around 95, and second is around 90.

What happens if i screw the exam and i get 70% but the person coming 2nd gets like 85-90%.

Would BoS do anything? or just scale me like the rest of the people.

Your internal mark will be 85-90 and your external mark will be 70, so you'll end up with an overall mark of 78-80

I think they might count you as an outlier if your mark was really bad and you don't know your internal mark until you've done the HSC :)

Well, i meant the internal mark my school submitted to the BoS should be around that.

How would they scale me if they count me as an outlier?

your internal marks wont really matter because you're first, you have to do well in the hsc to get a higher internal mark... if you're ranked first and you get the highest mark in the hsc too then they will both be the same marks for internal and external, however if you bomb out like stated, then it'll work like that.

If your first, it's pretty unlikely that you'll fk ur exam

Whether they did this or not, he is coming first so he gets the top external as his internal and his external as his external.
Not necessarily. If his external mark is so bad that he is considered an outlier/bombout, then the SECOND internal ranker gets the highest external mark as an assessment. Then jung1239 gets an assessment mark calculated according to how far he is between the second ranker and 100.

are you 100% this is true or can someone confirm this

because if so it would be amazing js, i'm always freaked out rank 1 or 2 will bomb out cos our school assmts are mostly easier, and i'll be left with some mediocre internal mark

What happens with outliers? Apparently if you don't make a serious attempt they take away your HSC or something? I'm going to walk out of the IPT exam early (I got 6 subjects), but I'm afraid of this?
