^its ridiculously small, or maybe im not opening it correctly. I have saved the link, and the file is 4kb, when i open it it's 1/100th the size of the screen so you cannot even make out anything.
They are thumbnails so if you click on them (don't save the link) it should open a new window/tab which takes you to the much larger files (approx 300-400kb each for the low-resolution; and approx 2mb each I think for the high-resolution ones).

Re: BRW Top 100 Accounting Firms 2007

Hey guys, I was just wondering: Is it a bad time to get into accounting because of the global financial crisis and the general health of global financial markets? I want to do a B Commerce - Applied finance (accounting) at Macquarie but people have been telling me that it's not worth it because the demand for accountants is going to decrease as a result of the crisis.

Any thoughts?

I personally think that accountants will always be in demand because people always need to fill out taxes, people always need to file documents etc etc.

What do you think? Good or bad to get into this field?

Depends what field of accounting- most of the normal accounting roles whether it be clerks, corporate accountants, auditors, tax accountants, etc... are going steady with numbers increasing in some fields due to the current climate. However, the more glamorous and specialised roles, particularly in consulting/advisory are dropping off a lot more since during economic downturn with layoffs across industries, it's not like a client would need to hire someone to tell them how to incentivise their employees to stay and work harder is it?

Does this apply to Australia only?

Because on a global scale, I thought it was:

PwC > Deloitte > E&Y > KPMG in terms of revenue

As the rankings are published by BRW, obviously they only apply to Australia.

As seremify pointed out, there may be a bit of a shuffle when next years rankings are released. I've heard rumours that a certain Big 4 accounting firm was in some troubles, but that they've past that now.

"revenue per staff" doesn't refer to amount of money they learn, does it?
