Ok, so I'm looking up the Bachelor of Science (Advanced) on the UNSW and Usyd websites and I notice something weird. BSc (Adv) is a 3 year course at Usyd but it's 4 years at UNSW. Can someone explain why this is the case please? Thanks in advance! (lol no pun intended)

I think UNSW have a compulsory Honours year for BSc (Adv), which adds on the extra year. At USyd, Honours is optional and depends on your performance (but you have to maintain a certain mark otherwise you'll be transferred to BSc, honours or not)

Also just because they have the same degree name doesn't mean they're the same thing. This is why we emphasise course research.

That sucks, what's the minimum mark that you have to maintain?
