It’s asking about changing the Operations process to achieve CSR - Not anything to do with Finance. Under Operations processes, variety is a syllabus dot point - the business isn’t obligated to provide healthy options but by altering their product mix to do so, they’re satisfying CSR.

It’s asking to support redundancy rather than something like summary dismissal. Redundancy is when an employee’s role is no longer needed in the business - As such, C would validate the redundancy claim, because Joe’s role is no longer creating profitability for the business.

is it illegal for a business to make the claim "no returns or exchanges" or is it just ineffective, under Australian consumer law

generally how many paragraphs for a business essay? or does it vary question by question? e.g for the question above, i'd structure my essay with two paragraphs: one for swot and one for product life cycle.

hi guys what marketing strategy would the #ShareACoke campaign be? I put advertising but I don't know what it else could be my business teacher isn't telling me until I get it. liek basically they are "trying to create a relationship between the customer and their product (coca-cola)"
it would be advertising or relationship marketing potentially

What's the best way for me prepare for a business essay assessment on tuesday? Its gonna be an unseen question on influences / performance objectives?

I've just been doing multiple iterations of this question with a different influence on each performance objective. Could you possibly send any sample essays to this question?

anyone know if you get marked down for rounding up to a whole number?
or should you round to 2 decimal places just to be safe? (except for the profitability ratios)
Generally speaking, there should be no issue with rounding up to a whole number, although I would question the reason to do so, especially when rounding to 2 decimal places would provide a more accurate figure, since it would be closer to the original number that you calculated. For example, consider a random number: 2.64987. As a ratio, rounding this number to 2 decimal places would result in a ratio of 2.65:1. On the other hand, rounding to a whole number would result in a ratio of 3:1. Notice that 2.65:1 is more accurate than 3:1, since rounding to 2 decimal places adds a much lower value to the original number than rounding to a whole number.

As such, unless otherwise stated, I would recommend rounding ratio figures to 2 decimal places.

I hope this helps! 😄

Hey guys,
I'm currently in year 12 and literally struggling with business!
Ok that is a bit dramatic, I was fourth in course last year but my school is ranked quite poorly and we usually don't get any band 6s in business each year! I literally need a 99 atar to get into law!
So here's my question to you:
  • I currently have just under a month left of the school holidays, what should I be doing in it in terms of studying for business? Revising current content? Doing past papers? Learning ahead and starting next terms content?
  • How many practice papers did you do for business and when? Do I start practice papers now, or should I wait closer to trials? And how many of them do I need to give to my teachers?
  • What is your main advice for me and tips to aim for a high band 6 (ideally a 96+)
  • How much time should I spend on studying for business each week - All my other subjects are also really content heavy, so I can't be wasting any time at all
  • I heard from a friend who did really well and go a 99 atar that she practiced for the essay section by writing a practice essay for each section of the syllabus (e.g. one for marketing strategies, one for marketing process...) so she was confident she could answer all questions on any topic. Is this recommended?
  • Are there any textbook/study guides or online resources you recommend?
If anyone can answer all, or at least some of these questions, it will be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much guys, bos is literally a lifesaver!
Ideally, it would be good to do a combination of all three. Revising content that you have already learned will help you remain familiar with that content. Completing practice material, such as past exams covering that content will also help you confirm whether you are able to effectively apply your knowledge to exam-style questions. Further, studying ahead can help you in many ways, including:
  • Identifying areas that you may not fully understand and preparing relevant questions early
  • Classes becoming more like revision sessions
  • Potentially reducing study time needed for this subject, allowing you to allocate the difference towards another subject(s).
The specific number of past papers that you attempt is not as important as the learning achieved from completing them. For example, you may learn more from completing two past papers than from completing five. Of course, you should still aim to do as many past papers as possible as you will have a greater chance to learn more by completing more past papers. You can complete topic-specific practice material for now and start completing trial papers closer to your trial exam, but still early enough to comfortably attempt a large number of past papers. If you are planning to seek teacher feedback, you should submit as many papers as possible. When the feedback that you receive becomes minimal, that would indicate that you no longer need to submit your past papers for feedback.

Achieving a high HSC mark in Business Studies should be fairly straightforward as long as you are willing to commit to the subject. The following are essential elements that will help you do so:
  • Syllabus knowledge
  • Content knowledge
  • Knowledge of case study material across all four topics
  • Regularly revising content and completing practice material, as well as promptly addressing any areas of improvement.
Similar to the number of past papers, the amount of study time that you should allocate towards Business Studies will depend on the time that you will need to ensure that you have achieved the above. Student academic ability is relevant here, as some students may need to allocate either more or less study time than others.

You can combine your friend's combination with the standard approach of attempting existing Section IV questions for optimal results. Attempting existing Section IV questions is important because they reflect the type of questions that can be asked, which can help you apply your friend's approach more effectively.

The Business Studies BoS Trials are challenging exams that I authored. They are intended for high-achieving students and focus on pushing students to their limits while prioritising critical thinking. I would suggest attempting them in addition to existing trial exams:

I hope this helps! 😄
