That thread states that it's fine to post up solutions that were created by students. With that in mind:

Question 4 (a)

There are 40 numbers to choose from. Bob chooses 6 of these ===> 40C6. The machine cannot choose the same numbers as Bob, so it's sample space is now 34 numbers, from which it must choose 6 ===> 34C6. Altogether, there are 40C6.40C6 ways of choosing without restriction. Answer is thus (40C6.34C6)/(40C6.40C6) ~ 0.35

6.c) simultaneously solve with the identity cos^-1x +sin^-1x=pi/2.

7.b) Don't know how to do it yet.

I don't think there's a copyright issue with CSSA and Independent papers as teachers photocopy them at will and it doesn't say at the beginning of exams things like "none of this can be reproduced".
