hmm, the Toyota MR2 (current model or previous model). Personally, I prefer the previous model rather than the new MR2 spyder, either that or the new celica.
MR2 can do with a bit more power also, with only 103kw@flywheel, considering the base model corolla is 100kws. With the said, the MR2 is lighter, hence should go better.
In regards to the 'nice done up one', it's probably all show no go ..

i've heard the sw20 has a lot of movement in the rear because of the mid-engine/rwd setup.. then again, the people i know who like them swear by them. =) and you can't get much more reliable than toyota..
For < 20k I'd get a 180sx, but I'm going through an 'i wanna be a drifter' phase.
Depends how long you see yourself keeping it for, I guess... and remember buying the car is only the first step: then there's rego, insurance, speeding fines, etc etc

Get an old model A3 Audi....some are selling it for less than 20k....I was gonna get one for a mod car base which i could thrash around...and aparently the A3 1.8T...the old one is actually quite a good car...plus it looks awesome...at least better than the new one..

A3 1.8T's rnt exactly the best cars to mod.
first of all, Euro cars r pretty expensive to mod, unless u have deep pockets.
second of all, u are limited to very few workshops that specialise in Euro cars, u wanna go to a place that knos wat they r doing.
A3's have small turbo's and the turbo's r integrated into the manifolds with the wastegate, and hence its a bitch to even do a simple mod like an exhaust system.

Nissan 350z, wide body kit, 17" rims 18" if I can get em, chromies on the rims and tail lights, drag spoiler, nothin on da hood yet, airbrushed metalic orange, neons (shhhh) dark black tint
was cruising with my mate the other night (he has a 93 model 180SX - goes hard) and we lined up against a 350Z. I don't know how it happened but we got absolutely owned. I thought 350Z does the quarter in low 14s (i.e. the same as a 180>??|) he beat us by like 4 car lengths then we gave up.nick1048 said:
