Soo, the reason they are making the extra carpark is because they are cutting a lot down to make a new teaching building, doesnt that sound reasonable.

UPDATE:
*****************************************************************
Temporary Parking Arrangement in Parramatta

Work will commence on the New Parramatta Teaching Building in mid April
2005.

Construction will require the closure of Carpark P4 from 9pm Friday 15
April.

During construction of the New Teaching Building, parking will be
permitted on the grass area fronting Pemberton Street on the Parramatta
North (BCRI) site.

An additional 115 parking spaces will become available on the Main
Campus, in Carpark P1 around mid May.

Don't worry LaraB. Today I saw ppl parking in the North Campus and then walking over to the main campus. They must be desperate or something.

they build more spaces at the nrth site (114 to be exact) but i think an extra what 50? at the main one? maybe they should cut down on the green at the front to ED to have more spaces.
If you go via the victoria rd entrance, there is bulldozers etc. which are making a new carpark and a sign advertising these new facilities.
and the space near the river perhaps altho that would hamper the view...

anyway, where is this building project? theone123, i havent seen anything at the library? tell me!!!!

the building project is between the CIT block and the cafe and the student centre, hence is the car park surrounding there i believe is going to be cut thus add more spots elsewhere to fullfil the insufficient parking.

I received three e-mails about that - and I don't even attend Parramatta. Waste of space, indeed.
