I was looking at some past papers and some of the older papers have German national studies between 1918-45 but the more recent syllabus says its only up 1939. Should i disregard past paper questions that ask questions between 1918-45 in the past papers and if so when was the change instigated?

The new syllabus was introduced for teh 2006 HSC.

The Germany topic now stops with the outbreak of WWII (as do most national studies e.g. USSR, USA and Japan).

Questions from earlier years are just as valid but only take the answer up to 1939 rather than to 1945.
