haha, are you sure you're getting 'child' fare? because student and child prices are the same and you're entitled to get a student fare
side note: i hate when they ask to see your student id when you get on at uni..
haha yeah, cos when my friends try to get a ticket they always get asked if they have a student card and on trains i get away without a consession card cos they think i'm younger than 16. I laugh at my friends who have to pay full fare and entry to places hehehehe :D

i've noticed people treat me like im heaps young though which sucks.

whats the big deal? its cool to look younger then your age...at least in my opinion.
Imagine when you reach your 30's and people would still think your 22-25, which is ok really...

Just remember a time when I was asked for my ID at the bottle O. I showed him m ID without hesitation and the dumb cunt read the last few didgits of my ID number wich was 1877. He then looked at me and said "wow you look much younger then what you should" Dumb cunt can't read an ID let alone do simple maths.

haha ^^

I get that it could be seen as a compliment, but not when you're 20! When you're 30, and people mistake you for being 25, then you milk it. But when you're 20, and people still think you're in high school, it gets annoying. They treat you differently, they act different around you because they think you're so young. It's not cool.

Maybe it has something to do with my hair? I'll ask my hair dresser. Anyway, thanks for the responses, guys. It feels good to know I'm not the only one lol

yeah..!! It's great! Looking like you're in high school is the difference between paying $40 at hair dressers and $60 if you're anything 'above' a high school student.
Hell yeah! =D

I just don't shave.
I barely shave but it takes me over a week to grow anything that remotely looks like facial hair.

What has age got to do with how much you pay at the hairdressers?

What about wearing Portmans-like clothes (I don't know what else to call it) to change how old you look?

You know, the semi corporate but casual clothes aimed for women in the mid 20's. Very hot.

Less variations of colour (ie wearing blue pink brown and orange all in one go) eg wear black grey and red. Or something. Just being smart about colour.

Yeah I do a lot of that when I'm going out. Thanks though!

It's more for situations at uni when I'm just wearing jeans n casual sport shoes. Or at work when I'm in trackie dacks (uniform). I thought it could be more to do with my appearance like my hair and face. But I guess there's not much I can do there! lol

thanks though

Yeah, they determine the price on whether you're a primary school student or high school student or not. It makes such a huge difference though, it's so bleh!

Portmans have such nice work-clothes! And they're REALLY good quality aswell. Def worth the money.

I watched a doco on plastic surgery and its pros and cons, and one pro-surgery was this girl who felt that she didn't get enough business as a dance teacher because she looked like she was 16. When she admitted that she was 25, I was absolutely astonished. She REALLY DID look 16 though.

And so she merely had her nose changed, and walla, she looked her age and had heaps more business.

Moral of the story is, uh... scratch that.

Perhaps ask a hairdresser (a trusted one). Say you want to look more mature and more your age and see if they can think of anything (only if they really do think of something).

Just an idea.

LOL that's hilarious. Good for her though.

I like my nose. It's small, and doesn't have any bumps or anything. It's hella drastic, but hey if you have the money, then why not. I think my issue is more to do with my face coz i have a 'baby face'. My mum has it too. She's 42 and people think we're sisters. :S

I'm definitely going with the hair dresser idea, but I want to grow my hair a little mroe before I get her to style it appropriately.

For those saying that I should lap it up and enjoy the benefits. There are NO benefits! Trust me...people treat u like ur stupid and young before they find out ur 20 and in 3rd year uni. It gets irritating

So how could one potentially go about doing this?

ie. I'll be 21 in less than 5 months, but there's a general consensus floating my tail in which everyone believes I'm 15. I'm dead serious. People never say "oh you look 18" or 17, they just constantly tell me I look 15.

I do have a "baby" face whatever the fuck that means.

Help?

It gets REALLY annoying when people ask you how school is (when I'm in 3rd year uni), or when they tell your boyfriend he's a cradle snatcher, coz my boyfriend looks 22+ and I look supposedly 15!
You don't look 15, but you do look young.

I've given up, cos I get told I either look too old or too young as well :(

Went for a job interview yesterday and they said I had to come in office cloths (dunno why because it was for hospitality) but anyways, I put on my suit. And fark it made me look 15. I hated it, did not like it one bit.
