im just wondering because we are now doing things like naming alkanes, alkenes and alkynes and my teacher gave these messy as drawings which we have to name with name like 2-methyl-1,3-pentadiene and i am now thinking that this probably inst even year 11. am i correct.

i don't think u need to know how to name dienes , but it's good practice for your HSC
once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard

this is year 11 work. we're covering it in class now as well, and it's not too hard once you get the hang of it.

you only need to know how to name 1 different substituent in year 11. year 12 is 2+
