Hey!

When completing this combined Engineering/Science degree for 5 years, is it possible to finish the science degree and gain the award for 'Bachelor of Science' after third year while commencing normal Engineering units at the same time?

thanks in advance!

You are currently enrolled in a combined BE/BSc. You cannot graduate from this degree until you fulfilled the requirements of the combined degree, which is doing both the required engineering and science units. When you finish you graduate from both degrees at the same time at the same ceremony (regardless of whether you might have finished the science units much earlier).

As a combined degree student, you always have the right to discontinue one of the degrees, and just finish the other. However if you take that option you must fulfil the single degree requirements (ie you get a “discount” of doing only 144 eng & 96 science in the combined degree – if you jettison the BE degree you must fulfil the single science requirements (which includes 144 credits points of science).
