Say for e.g. i come 1st internally and 3rd externally, would i receive the highest raw marks in the exam or the scaled mark?

You would recieve the highest aligned exam mark from your cohort as your internal mark.

so i get 90 aligned exam mark and 93 is the highest . Thus 93+90/2 = hsc mark?

Let's say you get an exam mark of 90 and another person in your class comes first in the exam at your school gets 93. Your mark would be (90+93)/2 = 91.5 = 92
