Ha ha... such joys of medical school I am anxious to experience!
Perhaps 1/3 as a little weighty... but I am still of the opinion that they (interviews) are essential (this may change by this time next year... depending solely on whether or not I get in!
)
It is interesting to find that there seem so many female physicians (or, at least future physicians!) In the town I live in we have 7 doctors (yes, 7! And a not-entirely-functional public hospital, but thats a different matter...) and only 2 of them are female. (In a true showing of my sad and sheltered existance...) our family doctor has been such since delivering my younger brother and I (in the now defunct maternity wards of the above mentioned hospital), but also we have grown up with his children... and my mother went through UNCLE (Nursing) for a while with his wife, and him (although he was in medicine. Obviously.)
I guess this gives me a unique perspective on the role of the physician in society, as well as, as we were saying, a physician's interaction skills!!
