Why this thread is closed
The specific event has been a big thing across all the moderators - it being open/closed, whatever. We were concerned of students and the students family's feelings by having this as an open discussion in the first place. But this thread has untouched for a while.
I push for a thread that discusses suicide, but a thread such as this that references a specific incident is very unwise of me as a NCAP moderator. It'd be existing in NCAP along side "The Abortion Debate" or "Homosexuality in Australia" that specifies no actual event with specific people involved... Refering a specific incident may tie down the conversation.
Yes the fact that I went to the same school and how I learnt the truth was what moved me to closure, but I have been thinking of closing it for some time for other reasons which are outlined.
