I'll answer the question,

Did any girls do physics this year?
Yes.

freaking_out has a point.

You don't really think that every Physics student is male, do you? ;)

Maybe freaking_out is saying that Physics nowadays is more verbal and written, with girls performing, generally, much better than boys in English.

The boy/girl ratio in Physics? I wouldn't have a clue, but maybe it's 2:1 or something.

Many girls on the forum, posting in the Physics forum? I wouldn't really know the details, but I guess there would be some. (I hardly go into the Physics forum, but I do post there sometimes).

Hope that answers a few of your questions :)

Girls generally do better than us in the HSC in everything.

2002 TSC Report
Although female students outperformed male students in the majority of courses and had a
higher average UAI, this was no different from what has been observed in previous years.
Where there was a change was in the gender balance of students who gained high UAIs.
While there were more female students in the top UAI groups of students in 2002 than in
2001, the percentages were less than the corresponding figures in 2000.

i know you've got the official ratios but for interests sake, at my school, the physics class was 17 people and i was 1 of 4 girls in the class. it's been the same since the start of year 11.

At my school, the ratio of boys to girls was:

48:0

Oops, I'm at an all-male school...

I haven't said it for 999 times.

I don't think I've ever said "that joke" - maybe some other people have... oh well, sorry for "repeating an old joke" :D :p
