i just went for a trial at a fish n chip shop.
i was there for a grand total of 60 minutes before i passed out.

well not completely, but my vision went all spotted and my ears started ringing and my head was spinning.
i was this *makes very small finger indication* close to fainting.

so i sat down, they got me some water and sent me home when i felt better. something tells me im not going to be working there.

anyone got any other stories of horrendous trial failure?

They should give you another go. I don't think they would fail you over falling ill on the job. I've seen people faint, spew all over the floor and a few times I've had to be sent home sick myself. The employer should be understanding about it.

yeah they actually said i can call them if i want to try again, but i wouldnt want to go back and faint again.

and i wasnt actually sick at all. i fainted from a combination of heat and standing still, and in summer it's only going to get hotter, and the shifts are only going to get longer.

so while i have the option of going back, i wont because im obviously not suited to the job. i'm leaving for america in three weeks, anyway. i just wanted some last minute spending money hehe.
