I'm really desperate to find a good related text for discovery.
My set texts are 'THE CHINA COIN' (book) and 'BILLY ELLIOT' (film).
A related text has to have something to do with self-discovery since it's the theme for the set texts.
Discovery about oneself or discovery about others will be fine.
I'm thinking of doing poem since it's nice and easy to find techniques and analyse.
Can you please recommend me any good poems? Short stories or songs would be good as well..

I did self-discovery as my AoS in prelim and used the film "Gattaca", it's got some good stuff... Themes of relationships, fulfilment of goals, societal values vs individual aspirations, etc. :)
And for belonging AoS I used 'The Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufrock' by T. S. Eliot, it can still apply for yours though.

Goodluck! And remember the marker doesn't really care WHAT your text is (in saying that don't pick something that is complete bs like twilight- God forbid), they only care about the techniques used, complexity of analysis and how well you link it back to the set text(s) and the question.

Maybe 'The Pedestrian' Bradbury (Shortstory)

Also stay away from songs.

A short poem that I found quite nice as an extra text for discovery has been Invictus by W.E. Henley. Explores the idea of self-discovery or spiritual discovery.
