What if you did bad (not fail) in an exam (worth 20%), and also did bad in past assessments worth 15%, are your B6 chances gone?
When are ones band 6 chances gone?
By the way when I say bad, I mean just pass (not a fail).

Just do better in your upcoming assessments, and try taking the top ranks.

b6 relies on external performance
if your cohort is really strong and even if you're not ranked well, you can probs scrape a b6.
but for sake of security, just make sure you do well in your other assessments (i.e. not just a pass, but well above average)

you have 65% of assessments left, use that to push your marks in your favour. it's not too late until you finish your hsc exams.

Band 6 only comes from external? What about the half half thing?

perhaps rumbleroar is talking about how external can make or break your b6 chances, since, as you said, it evens out.

@OP we're all gonna make it brah

half half is where they average your "internal" assessment mark with external
internal assessment mark is based on your school rank and how your cohort goes, like REALLY generally speaking

Doing bad in any assessment isnt going to help your ATAR. However, considering the weighting of the trials and final exams, your chances of a Band 6 definitely arent over - there is still a chance for improvement.
