sorry but it's not bullshit.
it's your best 2 units of english and then your 8 best units aside from that.

English Advanced (but only coz our school forces us to do it) :mad1: . If it were up to me, then i'd probly do English standard..... but, then again, you can't really get too good marks for that (or so i've heard)......

wtf how can the school force you...

i do standard
well its simple really. they just don't offer standard english. i'm guessing ssejamafone goes to a selective school? selective schools tend to do that...

i went to one. i had to do advanced as well for the same reason.

coz it has been run by a succession of Hitler-australian-counterparts.... complete with funky ruler-moutaches. yes. even the women.

And, i'm pretty certain that we have to do minimum of Eng advanced coz our school is 'selective' and for *cough hackpth cough* "gifted and talented students", and they probably think that Eng standard is too nooby for a "smart" school..... But, yeah, it sucks big time....

they're changing it next year though. the lord (mr hall) said 'let there be standard' and it was so

wtf??? that is insane.
hahaha yeah in year 10 they said something like.... "we don't offer standard english. you should all be good at it anyway, you go to a selective school with advanced reading levels. if you would like to do standard english you are very welcome to do it at another school..."

...so yeah we all ended up doing advanced lol.

funny thing is though, despite not offering standard english they offered general maths. no one took up on it though before everyone started failing, after which they made a general math class.
