Ok, so in Business Studies I am first in the class and in every test throughout the year I have beaten everyone but at least 10 sometimes 15 marks. Is this going to affect me at all? If so how?

Assuming you are the first in the YEAR as well then you will received the highest HSC mark in your cohort as your assessment mark and you keep your HSC mark. You will not be affected and most likely will receive the same HSC mark and assessment mark

But if I have a bad day and don't come first will my mark be averaged out with persons who does?

You will get the highest mark for your internals..

So it will average out like internal(highest exam mark from cohort)+ your external HSC mark/2
