So I KNOW you can do this at uni, but everyone I seem to ask doesnt know how to set it to print on both sides. ideas?

When you click print, you'll see a button marked 'properties', click on it then tick the box for 'duplex printing'

lpr -P<printer name>.dup

I experimented with this yesterday. Apparently the cost of a double page print is equivalent to 2 single page print.
Conclusion: no incentive to double print. unless you love the environment.

yeh...well, i only experimented in the law library, but i guess it will be the same anywhere else.

It makes sense - ink costs far more than paper.

That said, printing duplex doesn't hurt - less to carry around and better for the environment.
