That happens at our school as well, except on a much smaller scale since it is a dumb regional public school. This year the dux only toped maths normally they top 4 or 5 subjects. Topping only one subject at my school isnt anything special since it is easy too.

yeap...really good ecos teacher, but tended to get heaps stressed and chuck psychos occasionally, esp at students trying to scab marks

he took me for commerce in yr10

but he left cos his son was doing ecos or some shit, i dunno

why? did he transfer to ur school or soemthing?

Same here. Before year 12 I was practically unheard of, but my co-dux, everyone knew because he had been consistantly good throughout school.

The dux of my school gets chosen from a combination of internal assessment, and predicted UAIs. My school's fairly accurate about UAIs, our duxes have ranged from 99.8 to 100, and the 99.8 resulted because the dux bombed out in the external and didn't get at least 10 units on the 90+ lists, so 99.8 was pretty good for her then.
