I dont know how other schools do it.. but at mine it was like people who did esl did esl and the rest just got placed into advanced and standard according to their year 10 bands and ranks and whatever.. and then in year 11 the bottom 30 of advanced were asked to drop to standard... this way just seemed fair to me.. i mean.. idk if i read it right but writing a letter to someone to do esl doesnt seem right..

Standard English Band 6 Stats:
  • 2001: 0% (Candidature: 36479)
  • 2002: 0% (Candidature: 37478)
  • 2003: 0% (Candidature: 33235)
  • 2004: 0% (Candidature: 31019)
  • 2005: 0.01% (Candidature: 30294)
  • 2006: 0.02% (Candidature: 30634)
  • 2007: 0.07% (Candidature: 31161)
  • 2008: 0.23% (Candidature: 32334)

yup, these are what i used to get the figures.... but these only go to 2 d.p ... i think lazarus said 1 person got a band 6 in 2003 :p lol so not exactly 0% got B6's

my teacher who marks HSC english said average of 2.
Because even if you get full marks in Standard paper, you scaled mark gets fucking capped like a fucking gay shit ass bitch.
