really depends on how you feel like studying. i prefer to just jot down anything that sounds interesting or i might forget later in an exercise book in the lectures and just learn the bulk of the material at home.

exercise book could end up a bit of a waste especially if you have one for every subject... you most likely wont be compelled to fill the entire thing in....

depending on the lecturer you might just print out the lecture notes and jot down some random stuff on the print-outs itself...

loose leaf is handy as you can just take a small amount, and you can share it with people in an easier way

pen + arm
water + arm = stamp

conclusion, paper not needed and you get a free stamp!

Personally I've never liked using loose leafs, exercise book all the way. And I tend to use 1 exercise book for all my subjects in the semester.

thanx ppl! i was gonna use exercise books, but im printing off my phys1121 and comp1911 notes and im gettin math1131 lecture notes, and that leaves engg1000.......so for almost all my subjects...i mean 'courses', i will already have notes, and will be making small notes of my own, so i'll just use loose leaf.
