Hi I have a macbook aluminum and I'm studying graphic design so I'd like a bigger screen to work with for home. Any suggestions? Budget around $400. I've been looking at the dell S2209W 21.5" - is it any good? Thanks.

id be slightly cautious about going for a full HD monitor... the macbook may become sluggish at times as it struggles to process the graphics required for such a high res display - especially if you have integrated graphics

Don't get a brand name one they're always overpriced. I got a 22" 1080p monitor from a company called hanstar for AUD $250.

Full HD monitors are very sharp, the screen looks beautiful. I suggest you get the BENQ E2200HD. It's 21.5", 1080p, 10000:1 dynamic aspect ratio and $239 at MSY. It also has HDMI which you can hook your xbox up to. I have the non-hdmi verson. I love it :)

It's gotten great reviews at whirlpool too ;)

Dell S2409W should be about $350 when on sale, and it's 24".
