mt druitt's fine...
like... some parts are pretty bad cuz my dad has heaps of the maintenance work around there n i've been with him to some of these reallllly shitty places with total jerks in them...

But it's not that bad, we went there a week ago then back to penrith expecting mt druitt to be full of crime, when we got back to penrith there were fights everywhere.

yeah my sis lives in Kingswood, its not bad there, better than south west, where she used to live (liverpool). But then again, she has no choice, which ever hospital is good, she goes there.

well my rankings are:
ancient history - 1/6
bio - 1/7
business studies - 2/4
adv eng - 1/9
ext 1 eng - 1/6
wxt 2 eng - 1/1 (heheh)
legal studies 1/8

As you can see my school is/was? pretty small and we had already recieved our rankings in our final report in september. So I got a shock to find out on students online that I was apparnently ranked 7/8 in bio and 3/4 in business. But I rang the school and it all got sorted. My principal said "This has never happened before" hehe aren't I lucky? Maybe the office lady had a vendetta against me...

I know that the ranks doesn't mean much and it depends on ur school....I haven't checked my school is ranked but I know that the dux (we had two dux) last year got a UAI of 99.95. But I'm not jumping yet...we'll see the real results on the 17th of December...So GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
That would mean your dux last year was highest scoring across the college, which isn't correct because the highest was a guy from Manly.

Which school was that?

Sounds like there were in excess of 30 people in your grade!

You are mistaken again. The year before (2002) no one in Mackellar got 99.95 and i doubt anyone at Mackellar got that in a long time, nevertheless, i know this because the highest was once again from Manly (99.85 if memory serves correct, the girl made it to the all rounders list also).

As for last year's Mackellar 99.7 i would say that's rather questionable also.

And are you serious about the 800$ cheque your school gives to the dux. That's rather impressive IF true.

well....obviously u have a problem...because I happen to ask my teachers everything and the marks and UAI of the girls are on the DUX honour board... the girl last year that got 99.7 was in the newspaper.....I'm very sure my teachers at my school know more about their students than u do....and my friend's sister happened to be the Dux last year and she did get that cheque....I got dux for achieving the best assesment ranks this year and I got a check of $200..... so obviously the person who gets overall dux will get a higher amount.... just because ur skool doesn't give anything out why doubt other ppl....someone asked so I answered.......but u were right in the fact that it was actually in 2001 that a Mackellar girl got 99.95..... For sum reason I have a feeling that you go to Manly since u are so competitive.... geez mate....

In other news a "check" of $200 won't go very far. A "cheque" maybe.

15090 Drama 3 / 13

I'm at Penrith High School - selective with about 150 people. Bloody competitive at the top though. Just thankful it's almost over.
