I'm still insisting on being called year 11! :mad1:

Even though we start the HSC course which is mainly year 12, it is still our 11th year of schooling.

Maybe this is just me wanting to avoid it as much as possible...

It was a normal school day for me, as it should be. We even finished part of Preliminary for Chemistry.

we started HSC work in all our subjects today which were
Bio (maintaining a balance work, heaps of stuff on enzymes)
Geo (we started Urban Places stuff)
General Maths (de ja vu but Flat Rate Interest)
Food Tech (Australian Food Industry)
Chemistry (did an experiment relating to alkanes, alkenes and Bromine Water, and made models of cyclohydrocarbons)

and with every subject went over what is expected in year 12, a synopsis of whats in each module and syllabuses (for most)

First day was gay. Now I feel like I'm replaced with new "year 12s".

I'm not year 12 anymore? T_______T

How was it? Anything out of the ordinary?
I had a school captain interview today, announced at lunchtime to all prefects. Didn't get one of the captain positions but then again I wasn't expecting to get one and I'm happy to settle with just prefect. Just wanted to have a shot anyway.

Lesson-wise, they were fine. Got some notes and did all my homework just then. Hopefully I can go back to that habit of doing homework whenever it is given, I get distracted a lot.

no actually i was not.. cos i had friends in year 12 who were working hard, and i knew that they needed them more... we were short on IPT textbooks for ages and our teacher photocopied the relevant sections and gave us other notes.

toughen up and handle life without them

your teachers should be giving you notes anyway

We still haven't got our textbooks/textbook lists either.
I wanted to buy them to read over during the holidays.
I'm currently sitting in technology centre.
Didn't realise our Tuesday double free carried on from year 11 to 12.
I was hoping we'd get studies...I hated having frees last year...wait, I mean this year...I mean last schooling year.
Stupid board of studies system.

Wow. I was surprised about the whole textbooks thing. But hey consider yourselves lucky that you don't have to spend 500 dollars a year on textbooks.:uhhuh:
