how are we all finding it?
how many subjects are you guys taking & are you getting used to the HIKE from one building to the other?
anyone thinking of applying for a full-time job instead?

(seniors.. if u post, PLEASE BE NICE!)

i found my first few days overwhelming.. there was so much to take in!
-i spent 30 minutes (thats like walking twice to central!) looking for one of my lectures & actually worrying that they must have destroyed the building that i was suppose to be in for renovation. (wallace theatre)
- i keep mixing up my subjects and i'm already buried underneath sets of readings.
-i've decided to drop one of my subjects until i get used to this whole thing..

..and that's just the first week. uni should be full of adventure in the next few weeks.

- learn how to read a map.
- learn how to read a timetable.
- if walking is an issue, seek help.

just a stranger - $100 bucks says your an arts student overwealmed by your measly 12 hours a week...

dont worry, they are all like that when they start off. disorganisation is part of their rapid transformation into a radical left wing socialist

i asked where eastern avenue auditorium was when i was like 5 metres away from it.

i must have looked like a douche.

other then that though , pretty fine. Annoying how messy it all is though, using blackboard and all rather then teachers writing stuff on the board lawl.

I hate the whole hiking bussiness. I purposely changed my timetable so that I always have an hour at least between any classes. Unless I'm in the same room. :D

I went to work after I had uni on thursday and realised how much working is easier than uni.

Don't worry by 5th week the uni will be like a graveyard after 50% of the first years drop it.

that is just wrong.. i honestly think that there's something seriously screwed up with the system. I know were pretty much all adults now and everyone has the idea that as adults we should be able to manage our lives including uni but i think there's something incredibly wrong with the system.

first year dropouts are at an all time high and most of the first years i talk to seem to be struggling. i don't know who's at fault, whether high school doesn't provide enough training for that kind of independence or if universities do not provide enough orientation for the first year students.. but it shouldn't be that hard.

thats a good question where is the PNR building?

I dont like having to go to bosch for accounting lecture... considering everything else i have is like merwether/carslaw/eastern avenue.. and yeah so that sucks but atleast it gives me a good excuse to leave accounting lectures early.. which are so boring!. im loving commercial transactions A with Giuseppe though!
