For those of you who has transfered from a normal school to a selective school/ are transferring to a selective school this year, how do you feel about the fact that you are entering a school where you don't know anyone... :newburn:

Well I think the feeling's pretty much the same wherever you move schools.

You gotta build up friends again and it can be a little harder entering a year that's not yr7 as friends are not more established-but I promise people don't bite and don't stress about it :)

Though this may be different transition for me ie. High school to university, the situation is basically identical. I feel a little nervous but to be honest, when taking things into a wider perspective, think of the countless opportunities of being able to build meaningful relationships with several people and also the valuable benefits it reaps :)

I find these things to be exciting, moving to a totally new city and 50000 person university haha (at least I know some BoSers) But I think Aysce has the right attitude with it :)

Think of it as a good experience, in life you will always be put into situations where you don't know anyone!! Honestly, when I moved schools it took a bit of getting used to but you should be able to find our own group of friends and settle in, if not there are always people you can go to for help!

Going to selective next year - I'm pretty happy about it considering I'll be more academically motivated and many of my friends already go there, so fitting in should be no problem. The only down side to it is the kind of long train ride, but I think I'll get used to it.
