I'm not even technically wearing a suit..
Black pinstripe flairs, floor length trenchcoat and a formal shirt with some combrat boots.

Formal enough to get away with it but not enough to not look like i have all year.

Essentially its every day me with a spitshine.
is it possible to get a photo?

Taking a photo of ones own pants is tricky.

In this one im standing with my legs as wide apart as i can comfortably manage and leaning right forward.

Obligatory bathroom mirror shot.

Kind of gets the idea across, except pretend theres no hat, my hairs tied back and im not wearing my white ninja shirt.

And a mugshot to show what were working with.

Haha, its not even really a suit... its pretty much what I wear every day, I just made sure it was a new coat and new pants rather than all the stuff ive ground away to nothing with constant abuse :p

A good suit will last you a life time. Generally, a decent suit will cost at least $400, so here is some advice...

- Always get suits made out of 100% wool or cotton. Don't go for crappy synthetics like polyster. Same goes with shirts. Cotton and wool allows your body to breath.

- Make sure it just covers your butt, any shorter or long, its going to be dorky.

- The golden rule for ties is to match the least dominate colour of your tie with the least dominante colour of your shirt. Always have a dimple, marks sophisitication.

- Go for full Windsor knot if you can.

- Ties should just fall between your belly button and belt.

- Make sure that your sleeves come up to your wrist bone when your arms are pointed down straight. Maybe a cm or so max. Make sure your shirt sleeve are a cm or so beyond your suit sleeve.

- Make sure your shirt has cuffs holes, gets some cuff links to match your tie or shirt.

dude, that is far too whack for me...

Is that seriously what you're wearing to your formal?
Umm... yes?

Not precisely, but pretty close.

Like I said, itll be a collared shirt with my hair tied back instead of a hat, and ill have my beard done properly instead of looking like catshit but yeah.

It's not that "whack" if i were to really throw open my wardrobe.

All that adds up to be pretty fucking boring I'd say...

It's all very "how to not make any stupid mistakes and in the process look exactly like everyone else."

That said, it's true that all ties should be double winsored even if it takes you 30 tries and cuff links can be the perfect understated touch of class.

... Its just a jump to the left.

*does not own fishnets*

As for familiarity, I cant really explain that unless you frequent the central coast.

It's actually a bit skeletal since i burnt most of it recently.

Long story...

Bu its mostly composed of boots, platforms, stuff with straps, trenchcoats, fitted shirts and flairs.

I like twill, denim, canvas and leather.

And whatever that magnificent shit is that blue whale make their shirts out of.

Baby, it feels like cotton, it LOOKS like cotton, i SMELLS like cotton, but baby it aint cotton!

I consider it a gift to everyones eyes that my purple velvet trench isnt seeing the formal :p

I feel so gay discussing my wardrobe.

I like you style! That's pretty much everything I look for in a suit/shirt/tie. If it doesn't have french cuffs then it's gone.

To my formal I'm wearing a a curved tails suit (black) with an ivory winged collar shirt, white vest and a white bow tie (or cravat-haven't decided yet).

I also have the white gloves and cane.

This is what I shall be wearing. (Forgive 'DICKHEAD' pose)

A US Army Dress Uniform circa mid 1944. I'm still waiting on a number of items from the states such as a new EM's Overseas Cap, Jump Wings, Combat Infantrymans Badge, Infantry branch badges, and a few other pieces of bling.

the trousers, jacket and shirt have been dry cleaned since the photo was taken, so they now have some very fine creases.

Haha, midriff suit jackets :p

I completely agree with everything you said.
Another thing about the tie, if you're going to wear a bow tie; learn how to tie it - the hook one looks dumb, especially at the end of the night when everyone's starting to relax.
