I live in Melbourne too Those dresses look soo nice.. But $350? uh, I think I need one under $200- my mother would flip if it were $350dress + $90 makeup then shoes and a bag!

If you're looking for a floor-length dress that's not of Temt-style quality or hideously OTT, I don't think you'll find anything much cheaper.
For this particular ball, I did my own make-up and wore cheap $20 shoes from one of those dodgy stores in the city (hey, they were hidden anyway), so the price worked out to be not awful.

I'm gonna wear formal pants, formal shirt, white or black shoes depending on the colour of my pants and suspenders. Do you guys think the suspenders would look wanker?

The only thing I'm worried about is if the dress fits well (might need to alter it, and then I'm a bit iffy about ripping seams of a lovely dress!) if I buy it overseas without trying it.. Was your dress okay?

i got my dress the other week, i was searching and searching al day long, and i went into this tiny little asian shop, who had Mr K and purple patch dresses hanging on their walls, and im like, oh great another shop with the same dresses as the last..
and omg, i found my dress! in the tiniest shop in the world! wtf.

its like dark pinky/purple and floor length with skinny straps and a corset tieing thing at the back. its so pretty.

but yeahh, if you havent got your dress by now, you'd wanna hurry up otherwise all the good ones will be taken or worse still sold out. heehee

i originally bought it for my brothers wedding and i liked it heaps when i got it. then i found a dress i liked 10x better for my bros cos i felt self concious about wearing a long white dress to my brothers wedding
and it was an expensive dress so i feel like i have to wear it and the stupid bitch at the shop i bought it from says she doesn't do refunds for any reason

and there's not going to be another occasion where i can wear it to

it hardly fits me anymore anyway lol damn boobs

i've gained weight :s depressing...my grandmother's making the dress not finished yet and i'm like dnt finish it yet coz i'll lose weight. she can finish it in like 2 days so it's fine. got the shoes and she''s also making the bag...

only thing that could go wrong- step dad doesn't know about the date :S so he'll chuck a spazz. apart from that yeah pretty good
