My friend had this friend who did his HSC few years back.


One of his cohort suicided during the english exam. She stuck a pencil up her nose and smashed her head on the table. The exam was immediately canceled.

I've heard that story before... Something about almost everyone knowing someone who knew someone who it happened to makes me doubt it's legitimacy.
It's kinda like how every teacher has a story about swinging on their chair, falling and becoming paralyzed.

are you sure? if it actually happened you'd think there'd be some sort of documentation of it
a simple google search gives it up as pretty much bogus; websites talking of the pencil up the nose myth, forums discussing their own versions and variants
- yet not so much as a small town newspaper clipping anywhere


anywho, back to my crying predicament during mathematics and chemistry...

guys chill out about mod B, if you all went as bad as you said you did (and a lot of people have said this) then obviously the band 6/5/4 cutoff will be lower this year... so it'll like, even out

do you reckon going into paper 2 and not having seen either question for hamlet, you would prefer:
1. struggle and disillusionment question
2. or the fortinbras extract one

when there were all these people crying, people walking out of the exam room etc
I heard it they pulled some really obscure thing from the prelim course and then worded the question weird so it was heaps confusing

Hopefully there is nothing of the sort this year

I opened all the booklets before reading time. So that I don't waste time opening a new booklet.,

It's in the 2009 HSC. Download it yourself.
The question for Islam asked about the prophet Muhammad and the true answer to Islam or some shit. And the Christian one was really general.
People just freaked out because they hadn't done that before (usually do a specific part of the syllabus)
The main cause for shit was they didnt do a specific part of the syllabus and the Islam one was prelim.
They did it last year too. So, it's safe to say they'll do it this year.
Also, my teacher had a student from her old school that got 1st in state in SoR1 that year and he did the Islam response and got upset, but they must've aligned him up because the question was more difficult.

yeah thats India though. happens a lot with parental expectations and what not. parents need to realise that some people have to fail for others to succeed thats just life.
