i was getting back into my Warhammer 40k stuff recently, and im wondering if anyone else on BOS plays any of the Games Workshop range,

if you do, what type do you play e.g. Warhammer 40k, Warhammer, Lord Of The Rings et.c
and what army do you have?

yo i love art so i my friend got me in to painting the warhammer i bought a collection of Elders and 8 Space M bikes with a QHq on bike, i've done only few models i got so bored cuz it took ages to paint i was in to it fot about 2 years.
i still got no idea how to play the game i played it once wit assitance it;s was cool. but the HSC took over everything. how about u?

I have a 2000 point army of the Reik. It rocks my socks and floats my boat.

i buy white dwarf and go giddy at all the nice models
but i cant afford to buy the models

i used to collect warhammer myself and was heavily into Orcs.
Then i stopped in year 8 as i went away on soccer trips more.
ANYWAY... one of my friends said something very interesting the other day..when i asked him if he was going to go in and have a look.

"why is it that you never see a hot chick in a Games Workshop store?"

well.. he didnt exactly say that... actually he was alot more crude than that lol.
..but he had a point. In retrospect.. ive never seen a Games Workshop employee walking anywhere with a hot blonde girl on his arm ...

I may sound like i have one thing on my mind.. but it is rare.. extremely rare for an attractive lass to be interested in painted figurines and dice...

well... ive seen some silly stuff at Games Workshop.. she'd have to be a Brave Intelligent Lass.... thats for sure.
especially when youve got dudes shouting "attack" around you.. waving toy swords!

I play alot!!

i play:
- Warhammer (vampire counts - 2000+ , Skaven - not many)
- 40K (dark eldar 1500 , Daemon hunters - 2 models)
- Inquisitor (full warband) ... but ive only ever had a few test games sadly

they are pretty expensive, waste of money if you ask me

Not in comparison to a number of other items, especially when you consider the effort that should go into painting each individual miniature. It isn't meant to be a 'collect them all' type hobby.
