lol, Is it possiblle for somone with 0 Programming background to get a HD or a D for ENGG1811?
Speak to some career advisers about some other engineering disciplines you never know what you'll like.
Oh, i transferred into Eng/Sci
I cant believe im saying this but im pretty sure im gana do a PHYSICS major for Science :S (betray my loyal and beloved Chemistry)
Ive looked at Courses for Physics. They seem soo interesting.
Astrophysics, Nuclear Physics, Quantum mechanics, Electromagnetism
(I could turn into one of those geeky nerds)
I'm not sure.
I did some Visual Basic in Year 10 Computing Studies good times.
If you don't bludge most of the time and even if you have never used Visual Basic or any other programming language you should get a Pass or Credit.
I never did SDD in the HSC and I got a Distinction.
oh man im in a dilemma.
do subjects/electives that are easy but boring or hard but fun?
physics looks so interesting i have to agree but i dont know ... womens will like me more if i say "oh im an engineer" rather than "oh im a physicist i study physics duh huh huh"
But Astrophysics, Nuclear Physics, Quantum mechanics, Electromagnetism look pretty awesome topics but I don't know when we will set up more nuclear reactors around Australia because out of the 4 I would be a Nuclear Physicist if I wanted to be a physicist.
but yeah i could be a geeky nerd one moment then the next moment i could be a disheveled, drunk and loud.

Forbid is there a "course pack" for ENGG1811?
and do we really need a textbook for it?
There's two right?
Say Book #1 is Spreadsheets for Engineers.
Say Book #2: Excel Visual Basic Applications (Something...)
I found #1 pretty gay, you develop much of the skills in around lab 3.
If you follow only the lectures on the content based on book #1 you should be fine, if you want to maximise your marks then you get the textbook and have a nice read and the Excel component only lasts 3 - 4 weeks so that's gay and #1 becomes useless eventually.
#2 was slightly better than #1, you should get it because the VB content in ENGG1811 relies a fair bit on that book.
At the end of the course you won't need a textbook.
Much of the shit you learn is through the lectures and labs.
If you are extremely povo and you can't afford ~$80 then don't bother.

no course pack.
textbook is not essential.
Well hey thanks buddy for condensing what I said. =\
