Forbid, why was the other thread locked?

I cant believe that happened, Were the staff going nuts?

I once dropped 12 mol/L NaOH on my hand, i didnt realise it was strong untill my hands went a little purple and my nails and arms felt like they were on fire
Because some recalcitrant sub-terranian marsupial whore decided to enter my thread and doesn't do MATS1101 let alone doing anything in UNSW let alone doing engineering.
All CSU people make me sick.

Re-opened thread.

The staff didn't over-react or anything, my half of the lab just stared at me and Joe B.

Sodium Bicarb must be amphiprotic (where it can be a base and acid) eh?

Yes, i transferred from eng/comm to eng/sci

Since its an internal transfer its very easy
It literally took me around 3mins to do.

But it takes a while to process (after you complete the thing)

I think you will have to wait for semester 1 2009 to make it "official"

I cant remember where exactly but this link should help

http://www.eng.unsw.edu.au/current/transfer/index.htm

NOTE: applications have closed for this semester.

On another note..... If any of the higher students know.. How hard is it to get a lecturing position while getting your PHD?

Tutoring job easy, lecturing job hard (have to build up some expertise and rep within school first). Most local phd students are on scholarships which include an optional tutoring stipend up to $8k per year (for about 8hrs pw tutoring)

The assignment?

It tests more about mathematics than programming.
that SO true when i did assignment 2 involving calculating geometric properties of a circle using VBA

type mismatch? what error is that?
lol assigning a string to a numeric variable for example?
like somehow reading a string and then shoving it into a numeric variable without using some convert command?

Forbidden could you post the solution to this: (Its from the Sample paper)

A simple iteration procedure with
a0 = 1 and

a
n+1 = 2 + ln an, n 0,

is being used to find an approximate solution to the equation ln
x = x 2. Use a

for
. . .while loop to find the first value of an such that |an an1| < 105. Display this
value of
an to 10 significant figures. Do NOT allow Maple to display any of the earlier
values of
an.
[Don’t forget that you need to use
evalf in stating conditions and you will probably need

to assign values to both
a[0] and a[1] before starting your loop.]
